An Insider's Experience to Southern Africa
Dear Friends,
It's finally here!!! At last, the long-awaited itinerary for my trip to South Africa and Botswana next year, from March 2 to March 19, - a feast of FOOD, FLORA, FAUNA, CULTURE & ART!
I have attached a preliminary itinerary which is essentially 90% complete - locations all finalized. All the destinations that I have selected are amongst my most favorite places in Southern Africa - South Africa and Botswana. Obviously they do not represent ALL of my favorites as we can only do so much in three weeks. The balance will have to wait for the next trip!
The details that have yet to be finalized are the specific artists, ethnographic experts, culture and food experts, craft markets, craft cooperatives, vineyards, restaurants, botanical gardens and other sites that we will visit and experience. Two of our locations are featured in Travel and Leisure's 100 best hotels in the world for 2011†. We will be game viewing at two of the most prolific sites in all of Botswana in the Moremi Reserve. Once we are closer to the date of the trip I will send you an updated itinerary with all the detailed activities.
