This ceramic vessels is hand constructed by northern New Mexico artist Lisa Jensen. Lisa’s work is made from stoneware clay formed by a combination of slab and coil methods. The pieces are then shaved to a smooth sensual contour that is then decorated with an application of porcelain slip into incised etchings. The exterior of Lisa’s work is left unglazed so that the raw and tactile beauty of the clay is present.
